On August 29, 2025, Folkets Park, Malmö, buzzed with energy as the Africa and Caribbean Students Association hosted its picnic event. Students came together to celebrate culture, community, and connection, as well as their journey through the WMU 2024/2025 academic year.
The event was rich with the aromas of traditional dishes from West Africa, East Africa, South Africa, and the Caribbean. Each bite sparked stories and laughter, bridging continents through flavor and history through cuisines.
Games by Ms. Masego Mosupye brought everyone closer, while the wide variety of African and Caribbean music had the crowd cheering.
At sunset, the group gathered for a photo with faces glowing. It was more than a picnic; it was a celebration of heritage, unity, and joy. In the heart of Malmö, the ACSA created a space where culture thrived and everyone felt at home, and the memories made will keep our bond together.
